Well, I've read a number of good books lately, but none that blew me away until I picked up this one. With 'Mine to Have' Ms. Eden has once again proven why she is a favorite. I had a very hard time ever putting this book down and was terribly sad to see it end. I completely fell in love with Saxon and Elizabeth whose passion and need for each other was breathtaking. I just loved the way they loved each other; entirely, unconditionally and without reservation. It was clear Saxon adored his Elizabeth and would move mountains to keep her safe and happy. Elizabeth was no different and was determined to stand by Saxon's side no matter the danger or cost. It was a truly beautiful and touching romance that I both envied and admired.

Although this is the fifth book in the 'Mine' series, it can definitely stand alone. Even so, I'd still recommend reading them in order but most especially 'Mine to Crave' since Saxon and his brother Victor are introduced in that story and it too is an amazingly incredible read. Not only did this story start out with a bang, but it ended with one too. It was fast paced, full of suspense, surprises, and had complex and well developed characters. There was a huge reveal at the end that I never saw coming and a good setup for Victor's story that I can hardly wait for. Overall this was just a wonderful book that was an absolute joy and pleasure to read. Simply an unforgettable romance that I won't soon forget and would without a doubt recommend!

I thought it was great!!! I loved the two main characters. The hero was strong & powerful without being ridiculous. He was protective of the heroine without being a bully. I think everything was so well balanced.
I LOVED the heroine. She had just the right amount of shyness & tiger in her. I liked that she took charge of a lot of the sex scenes. I liked that she didn't act like the hero was this terrible man b/c of his past. She was vulnerable where she needed to be, but I loved that she took up for her man, & saved his life as many times as he saved her's. I hate it when a heroine has TSTL moments or to much of the dread "I can take care of myself" crap. There was none of that in this book. The heroine knew she needed help but didn't act helpless.
There was plenty of action, but there was also a lot of down time. It was balanced in a great way. There was a great twist at the end & even though i saw it coming it didn't take away from the story. I liked Victor in the story & can't wait to read his book. Maybe Zoe will be his heroine. So sad I have to wait, but this is life. Will be waiting for the news on a new book from Ms Eden (as always).

If I had one complaint it would be that the F bomb was dropped a little to often for me.

Saxon Black has been working undercover for years and is ready to exit that life but at the request of the man who he calls his brother he does one last job, take down a hired killer and rescue a hostage. What he found when he went to do so was the sight of a beautiful woman tied to a chair with deep green eyes and a look of absolute terror on her face. That was something he could not abide. He didn't need her words for help to want to do so. Little did he know what she would come to mean to him.

Elizabeth Ward was abducted by a hired killer and doesn't know why but before she is tortured and killed a man breaks in. For a brief moment she thought he might be her savior as she cries to him for help but then he requests an hour with her from her captors and she knows that she is doomed. But is she? She watches as her fate is decided and then the room erupts into action and she finds herself on the run with the stranger who moments before wanted her for himself. She has no one else to trust.

But nothing is as it seems and what was supposed to be just a rescue turns into so much more and with betrayals around every corner Saxon cannot leave Elizabeth. Much as he wants to begin his new life leaving her is not an option for more reasons than just her safety for she has gotten under his skin.

This book captured my attention from the opening explosive scene. Saxon is very much the dark sexy hero who has lived on the edge long enough to almost lose himself. Elizabeth has strength, she adapts to the new situations she finds herself in with sassiness. The two together are combustible. And it is not just their chemistry or the situation that draws them to each other, they seem to really complete each other, the missing puzzle piece they didn't know they needed until it was found.

This story had everything that this reader wants in romantic suspense, besides being well written there is action, intrigue, mystery, suspense, romance and deep emotions that are palpable plus a fast paced storyline that kept me guessing and flowed smoothly. This Mine series seriously fulfills my cravings for this genre. I want more in this series!
It's been a while since I've read a Cynthia Eden book. Her," Mine" series just keeps getting better with each installment. Saxon and Elizabeth are really a good couple. The two meet when Saxon busts into a scene no one is meant to see. It's classic Eden with all the action that comes out throughout the story. The loyalty of family and past friends are there. You really feel the bond and respect they each share for the other.

It's more than a romance, more than just sex, more than just action. The twists keep coming over and over again and loved each one and in the end only one is still alone. Victor is the last I've yet to see find his other half. He is the secret keeper. In the end of this little gem he holds a secret of Elizabeth's and it makes me wonder if he will be forced to reveal that secret in the next book. It'll be okay because now she has Saxon to help her deal.

The only thing I will say is the love attachment came quick and it may bother some. For me I think it worked because it needed to happen fast as there is so much crammed in this story. So hold onto your seat and buckle up. If this is your first Eden book or not this book works as a standalone. Enjoy!
